Citrus and Avocado Smoothie
A refreshing and healthy smoothie is a great way to start any day. Add them to your diet or fill a hunger gap at any time of the day. Use any other of your favourite super foods (banana, wheatgrass, pomegranates, blueberries for instance) to maximise on this great Vitamin C booster.
Serves: 1
Prep time: 5mins
Ingredients:
- Juice of 1 grapefruit (white, pink or red)
- 1 small ripe avocado
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- 4-5tbsp thick bio yoghurt
- 1-2 ice cubes, optional
Method:
- Put the grapefruit juice, avocado flesh and lemon juice into a blender and whiz briefly.
- Add the yoghurt and honey and blend until smooth. Check the sweetness and add more honey, or ice cubes if you like a well chilled smoothie.
Orange and Banana Smoothie
Serves: 1
Prep time: 5mins
Ingredients:
- 2 juice oranges
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 large banana
- 4-5tbsp thick bio yoghurt
- Honey to taste (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Method:
- Put the orange and lemon juice into a blender with the peeled and chopped banana, whiz briefly.
- Add the remaining ingredients to taste and blend until really smooth. Add a very little water if you like a thinner result.
